Selections based on a soft track.
Race 1
4. Golden Smile was not beaten too far when sixth at Gosford when resuming, and then led them up and battled on bravely to finish second at this track when last produced. She looks to have talent and can race on the speed again and take plenty of beating. 1. Bluebird Bay has a win and four placings from 10 starts and followed a solid second at Scone with a last-start third in the same race that Golden Smile finished second in. He should be in the thick of it. 5. Brilliant Knight has run second in his past two starts, at Muswellbrook and Grafton, and only needs to run up to those efforts to be a place chance again. 8. Dezignation is unplaced from two starts but looks suited by the step up in distance.
How to play it: Golden Smile to win.

Race 2
7. Mega Pixel was not beaten far on debut at Quirindi when finishing second, and followed that up with another solid performance at Scone when finishing third when racing on the speed and fighting on well. He looks suited in this event and should take plenty of beating now he’s ready to peak. 1. All Star resumes here for a new stable and has won a trial at Hawkesbury since being last produced. A bold showing is on the cards. 3. Dirty Does It has been racing well with a couple of placings to his name and is not out of this. 4. Dirty Summer is on debut after two trials. He finished fourth in the last of them on the Kensington track at Randwick.
How to play it: Mega Pixel to win.
Race 3
11. Villainess had a jump-out at Flemington earlier in the year and has since had two trials at Warwick Farm in preparation for this, winning the last of them. She’s drawn well and can make a winning debut. 9. Siebert was seventh on debut at Warwick Farm in July and resumes after two trials. A bold showing is expected. 10. Tetsu Belle resumes for a new stable and has had two trials leading in. 6. Oakfield Iowa is having her first start after three trials and can show up.
How to play it: Villainess to win.
Race 4
2. Don’t Say Do has finished second in two of four starts, including her past two runs, at Warren and Taree. She is heading towards a win and should take plenty of holding out. 6. Linda’s Princess ran well when a last-start fourth at Taree and can be thereabouts again. 7. Purple Prince has shown ability and can get into the placings. 4. Corvette Pride was a last-start placegetter at Muswellbrook and has the ability to get into the minor money again.
How to play it: Don’t Say Do to win.
Race 5
10. Trounce ran well when fourth at Hawkesbury and then backed that up with a strong win at Taree in maiden company when last produced. She should go on with the job here. 4. Empusa was close up when a last-start fourth at Newcastle behind the talented Oui Oui Oui and warrants respect, while 8. Ivy Diva is a last-start Narromine winner with claims. 6. Tiwi Girl has been down the track in her recent runs but is capable of improving enough to get into the minor money in this line-up.
How to play it: Trounce each way.
Race 6
5. Enniroc ran a creditable race when midfield in a Highway event at Rosehill when last produced. He ran third at Randwick on Melbourne Cup day before that and only needs to run up to those efforts to be the one to beat in this. 7. Move She Can raced on the speed when resuming from a spell with a placing at Taree and should be prominent again. 1. Miss Rebel is resuming here and ran well in her past two starts before the break when third at Muswellbrook and fifth at Scone in good grade. 2. Ensign Parker was a winner at this track two starts ago and warrants plenty of thought.
How to play it: Enniroc to win.

Race 7
3. Lord Vettori had five placings to his name before breaking through with a last-start win at Grafton in maiden grade at the end of last month. Now that he’s won there’s no reason he can’t go on with the job. 2. Etoile Filante has not been far away in each of three starts since resuming from a spell and can be thereabouts again. 5. Herman Said won a maiden at Scone on debut and has since been second at Grafton and third at Tamworth either side of a spell. This looks a suitable event. 4. Prize Writer won on debut at Gosford before a last-start sixth at Wyong but is capable of sharp improvement.
How to play it: Lord Vettori to win.
