Jarrod Berry flew for a mark and was collected in the head.

He pulled in the mark and was 45m from goal but a 50m penalty was also applied for the high contact.

So Berry booted the goal from the square. The Saints fans booed but Berry was all smiles.

‘They’ve been after Nas’: Riewoldt

By

All eyes will be on the Lions and how they are defending Wanganeen-Milera in the second half.

He’s had 17 disposals despite having Jarrod Berry tagging him and other Lions trying to wear him down physically.

The two players squared off in a fiery clash late in the term with jumper punches exchanges although not fully connecting.

“They’ve been straight after Nas, not just Berry but all the Brisbane players,” Jack Riewoldt said on Fox Footy.

“He’s responded well, but he has to be careful as he gave away a free kick [in their scuffle].

“At the moment, I think Berry is winning this battle. It’s fiery and I don’t know if Nas is handling that.”

While the fans are firing up, Liam Ryan has continued his stellar term kicking his third goal of the match.

Of all the Saints recruits, his arrival has had the least attention but he’s filled a great hole for them.

His goals have them ahead at the break.

Nas, Berry square off in fiery clash

By

Wanganeen-Milera is a superstar for the Saints but the Lions fans are letting him have it today following his clash with Jarrod Berry earlier in the term.

This is a Saints home game but there are enough Lions fans here that you can clearly have them booing the Saints superstar when he gets the ball or runs down to full forward where the Lions cheer squad are based this term.
