A man has died and 27 others have been injured after a bus carrying British tourists crashed into a ravine in La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, local emergency services have said.
The group were travelling to the San Sebastián de La Gomera dock where they were due to travel by ferry to Tenerife, Spanish news outlet El Mundo reported.
There were 28 people on board, including 27 British tourists and one driver, emergency services 112 Canarias said in a post on X.
All of the injured people have been taken to hospital, with four in a serious condition.
Most have been taken to Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, on the east of the island, 112 Canarias said.
Two of them - a 73-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, both with multiple serious injuries - were originally taken there, before a helicopter transferred them to hospitals in neighbouring Tenerife.

In its statement, 112 Canarias said emergency services received a call at 13:16 local time (13:16 BST) that a bus had left the road and fallen down a slope.
The bus was travelling on the GM-2 road before crashing in to the ravine. It fell from a height of around 10m, according to El Mundo.
It is a mountainous road with sharp turns, and an image shared by the emergency services appears to show it crashing near a hairpin bend.
Three helicopters and five ambulances were among the resources deployed to the scene, 112 Canarias said.
Head of emergency operations in La Gomera Héctor Cabrera told public broadcaster TVE the bus passengers "were staying at a resort" on the island.
President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, offered his "support to the victims and their families".

La Gomera is the second smallest of Spain's Canary Islands - it is about 50 minutes by ferry from Tenerife, the largest.
It is known as a popular destination for hikers, with its volcanic mountains criss-crossed with trails.
The Canary Islands are a popular holiday destination for Brits - around 3.83 million visited in 2025, with around 70,000 heading to La Gomera, according to the Canary Islands Tourism Observatory.
